Bullies by Chris Baker

(A story of Adolescence)

Backed up against the wall with your arms covering your head

With every hit that penetrates you wish you were dead,

Pushed there a second ago your eyes shut tight

Huddled on the floor they have the advantage in height.

All you can do is tense

And wait for the next hit

You cant take any more and you start to shake.

Its pumping through your body, this is something your mind cant take

They’ve pushed you too far this time

You have to rise to the bait.

As you rise you can see the shock in their eyes

All those rumours they spread all those dirty lies.

The rage boils up inside you,

Your eyes fall on the closest

You curl your fists and hit him your hardest.

He falls to the floor in shrieks of pain

You can feel the hot blood pumping through your veins.

As the blood pours from his nose

You turn to his friend and get into an attack pose,

As you strike him the others start to close in

You feel a sharp pain in your chest and find it hard to breathe in.

This pain is intense, it’s the worst you’ve ever felt

It is a lot more than the bullies have ever dealt.

As you double over your vision starts to blur

This is it, you cant feel anything.

Unawaited Ending
By Chris Baker/ Edited by Jenny May
As the blackness draws in,
Your body starts to loose feeling.
In the background you hear whispering,
But the silence you're in is almost deafening.

You force yourself to stay awake,
The mortal realm you're in starts to quake.
The whispers turn to crying.
The sobs pierce the silence.
You convince yourself you're still there,
But you know deep inside your lying.

You were told months ago to see someone
Just as the pains started,
But you being stubborn hearted
Would have none of it.
At last you were convinced to go,
The pains more frequent now.

As you were told it was aggressive,
You almost gave the world a final bow.
Breaking the news was terrible,
In what way could you tell your family?
Your time was running out.
The weight on your heart was terrible.
You should have gone when you were told to,
But there is no turning back now.

They are all around you, so close but yet so far.
You know you have left your family with a fatal scar.
They say little ones don't understand,
But they comfort you until you hear the parents say,
"Let go of his hand."

As your family leaves, the small ones start to whimper.
You feel your body lift free from its mortal shell.
The black cloaked figure, trying to pull you to hell.
Your family's love has saved you from that.
You can always thank them for that.

Xmas Poem

So much death and so much pain
This year has left its mark but who is to blame
Will you blame it on the government or someone closer to hand?
The blacks the whites or all others who roam this land

The truth is now in the time when the cold air blows
And the temperature drops below
These thoughts of hatred will vanish
But this will only happen for one day

When we will all unite in happiness
In this festive way
Laughter and joyfulness will emerge triumphant
And destroy the darkness over this land

This joining of all races on earth
Has proven one thing
Through this pain and anguish
No matter what race or language

The light can shine through
And we can achieve what was always promised
Those things you never really listened to
You can now see the people where honest

Peace on earth can be seen
Even if only for one day
Those special words said in any way
Please all unite and have a merry Christmas day

A poem i wrote ageas ago about Prometheans

Youll never know how free
I have so longed wished to be
Inside that darkest side of me
Dead flesh awoken anew
The eternal fire that burns inside
Unnatural life is unhard to find
We will never be accepted
Not by the likes of you
Pain fear and hatred
Its all you ever do
Beaten hung and stoned
A death to mortal man
But ill be here long after
Doomed to walk this land
The scarred flesh you whitness
As you brush past my hand
This nightmarish creature
You mortals could never understand
For unholy most of you wish to be
But think again
Look at me
Lycan vampire and mages which one is worse
Ill tell you the awnser now
Its the horrific promethean curse
